CHARTERED ARCHITECT

Following his graduation from the Scott Sutherland School of Architecture in Aberdeen, Roy worked for practices in both Edinburgh and Glasgow from 2000 to 2006. During this time, he qualified as an architect and attained his registration with the ARB. In 2006, a move to Sydney, Australia, presented him with the opportunity to be involved in the design and delivery of various projects for two award-winning practices.

He returned to Scotland with the intention of starting a small practice that would blend considerable experience and principled design, with a philosophy dedicated to the aims and aspirations of each client. Roy Montgomery Architecture was established shortly after and has been providing architectural services since 2012.

In July 2017, Roy was elected to Chartered Membership of the Royal Institute of British Architects.
